100th SRA in the area of design has been registered in Russia
As of December 24, 2009, state registry accounted for 103 self-regulating agencies (SRA) performing preparation of design documentation for capital construction facilities. Over 5000 design institutes and organizations from all over the country have become members of those SRAs.
According to “Rostechnadzor” data, the Commission received over 710 applications for establishment of SRAs in the area of construction. The commission rejected 540 applications.
An originator and founder of 100th SRA in the Non-profits registry under the name of “interregional Alliance of Designers and Experts” is one of the largest technical consulting firms in Russia – GCE Group of companies. Not-for-profit partnership, which includes 58 organizations, was registered on December 24, 2009 under the registration number SRA-P-100-24122009.
According to NPP IADE Board of Directors member Alexey Isakov, the founders see consolidation of designers’ and experts’ efforts, increasing of responsibility for quality of design services, and lobbying for SRA members to the government and the clients as the partnership’s main mission.
Firms, such as SPE “Agrokhimbezopasnost” Ltd., ECC “Promtechbezopasnost” Ltd., “Prombezopasnost” Ltd., SRE “Promgidrotechnika” Ltd., “Filial Gazoochistka” Ltd, “ProektEnergoStroy” Ltd., “StroyTechExpertiza” Ltd., “MosOblStroyProekt” Ltd., “EnergoStroy” Ltd., “Vector Engineering” Ltd., “Onix” Design Company, and many others have become part of the organization.
